Make a Difference Day Project

At Altrusa, our mission to support literacy takes center stage during Habitat new home dedications. We are honored to donate a new bookcase to each family, filled with books tailored to their interests and ages, including the parents!

Before dedication day, we learn about each family member—their number, gender, age, and favorite reading genres. This personalized approach ensures that the bookcase is stocked with books that will inspire and engage every family member.

On dedication day, the bookcase is not only filled with these carefully selected books but also includes a shelf of creative art materials. This heartfelt outreach aims to foster a love for reading and creativity within the family, creating far-reaching positive impacts on their lives.
