Reasons to Join
Door County Altrusa Club members give these reasons for joining:
- To give back to the community through volunteer hours and service.
- To establish a new network of diverse friends and resources.
- To develop skills and leadership not possible through the workplace.
- To do something rewarding for people in need.
- To have fun!
No matter the reason, most people feel better about themselves by becoming more altruistic – by showing unselfish devotion to the interests and welfare of others.
Altrusa is an important organization in Door County, providing so much more than just literacy to children, the sight impaired, etc. Altrusa provides an outlet to work together, meet new people with similar objectives, and provide friendship and comradery.
Altrusa is my chance to be involved with the community I live in.
Altrusa is a unique organization that is totally supported by our members. Working together we can help children with their “Back to School” Supplies. We also help with scholarships, reading programs and sight programs.
