  •   Diane Gruener Club – Pumpkin Patch – $800.00 for working the tent $200.00 check, $39.00 in tips.  Total $839.00                                                                               New members dues from Susan Liguori and Susan Price will be coming soon.
  •   Angie Meacham – Foundation – report emailed with agenda Correspondence
  •   Letter from Natalie Conrardy, who has resigned as of November 1st.  Chris called Natalie and Natalie explained it was not the right fit for her.  Natalie was very complimentary of the organization.  A letter was sent to Natalie, thanking her for her service and the door is always opened for her if she’d like to return. As an FYI, a past member can reactivate her membership without attending 3 meetings.
  •   Pat informed us that Readers for Sturgeon Bay schools have been asked to fill out a Background Check so they can be vetted to read in the classrooms.  Readers should fill out the form and return it to the address on the form.

Committee Reports

  • Bingo:  Basket Raffles:  $1,287.00, tips $60.00, Bingo Cards $510.00,  50/50 winner gave back to Altrusa $150.00.  Grand Total: $2,007.00   A big thank you to Cally.    The Lodge at Leatham wants us to come back in spring. Cally will be in contact with them in early spring.
  • Pumpkin Patch:  see above
  • Holiday Extravaganza:  currently things are going well.  106 seats                         available.  Cally proposed that we take our Zeffy link and put it on Facebook to encourage additional people to attend.  It was agreed that we go with an option written and revised by Peg. It was also agreed upon to send an email out to all members letting them know that the invite link will be on Facebook and if they haven’t signed up yet or if they have friends who haven’t signed up, they should do it soon before it’s on Facebook on Thursday, November 5.
  • As a side note, Cally informed us that we have already received $895.00 additional donations to Altrusa.

Communication- Peg

  • Nice compliments about our display at the Library in October.

  • Peg took all her pictures on her phone and put them into a photobook, made by Snapfish.  This beautiful book that can be used for different events.

  • Directories are almost all delivered. Judy will deliver 10 copies to Lori Voeks and Peg will hand out the remainder.

  • The thank you ad for BTS is in the works.  Peg has reserved a spot in the Pulse for the Holiday Extravaganza thank you ad.

  • Dominic Franda will be talking to our group in November.  We will present Dominic with a check for $1,000.00.  It would be a good opportunity to have a picture taken of the check presentation with all Altrusans in attendance.

  • Channel Seven Newsletter, you will find info in their about the District 7 conference on May 1 and 2

  • Peg continues to work on Group Tally, adding people’s leadership.

  • Officers’ pictures on the webpage have been updated.
  • NBC – Channel 26, Hannah Lopez would like to do an interview with Chris, Peg and Maureen about Back to School.  More information to come.  Maybe closer to the event in 2026

Unfinished Business

  •   Open Volunteer spots – DC Non-Profit group and Co-Grant writer.  Board members please talk it up.  When we talk to new members, please bring it up.  Maybe more than one person.

Cally has someone who may be interested – Kerri Hah.  She does it for her job.  She still needs to become an Altrusan, though she may be able to consult in the meantime.

DC – Non profit group – still need someone 1 time/month

Cally has made a concerted effort to get new members involved in participating in the Holiday Extravaganza.  Diane agreed to help Karen Korn with the mystery box that evening since Christina Staring will not be able to attend.

  •   Habitat dedication –  November 12 at 2:00. 512 N. 19th Drive in SB.  If you’re not doing anything, please attend.  Sue Liguori will be representing Altrusa in place of Sue Enroth.
  •   Cherry Cove update –  Bins went to Sevastopol PE and a woman took the racks.  Maureen suggests we get more storage shelves.  Target donated some new BTS supplies and we don’t have enough storage shelves for these items.

Pat asked if she can give the college rule wide notebooks out to the high schools.  The board agreed to have Lori check with Southern Door and Pat will check with other schools.

New Business

  •   Proposal for December Board meeting date –  we will not meet on December 2.  Too busy, but Chris has reserved the 8th for the meeting instead.
  •   Foundation – election and officers –  All Foundation Board Members are up for re-election for an additional 2 years.  Sharon H, current president, will be asking Foundation board members if they want to stay on and if any of them want to be the treasurer.  If no one wants to be treasurer, then we will add another member.  We need to find a new treasurer for the foundation.  Discussion about hiring someone from the outside would be costly.

The Foundation Board will need to make a decision about using Quickbooks or not and whether the Foundation Board will purchase Quickbooks or another program for the new treasurer.

Adjourn – at 7:22     Lori made a motion to adjourn,  Diane seconded.  Motion approved.
